John Lyon

John Lyon is a conductor, music educator, and arranger/orchestrator based in Sheffield, currently serving as the principal conductor for Leeds Symphony Orchestra and a freelance conductor of symphonic and operatic repertoire. He is a passionate educator working for Sheffield City Council's wonderful Music Hub, and an active freelance violinist, choral singer, and arranger/orchestrator. He is a postgraduate of the University of Leeds in Critical and Applied Musicology. John is delighted to make his debut appearance with The Sheffield Chamber Orchestra - a wonderful group of musicians and exciting programme he doesn't even have to drive up the M1 for!
