Sheffield Chamber Orchestra is delighted to announce its 2025-26 programme of concerts an a new season ticket offer that gives 25% savings over standard prices.

Established in 1950, 2025 marks the orchestra’s 75th anniversary, which will be celebrated in a concert on 29th November 2025 featuring the world première of British composer Dominic McGonigal’s new work ‘Sunset at Sea’. Led by our Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Laurence Perkins, the concert, titled 'Where the water flows...' features a collection of music connected with water, and also features works by Mendelssohn, Wagner, Telemann, Ruth Gipps, William Sterndale Bennett, andJohann Strauss II.

Our Great Classical Masterpieces concert on 21st March 2026 features classical music’s rising star Esme Greenwood performing Bruch’s beautiful Violin Concerto No. 1, voted the number one work in the 1996 Classic FM Hall of Fame. The orchestra will also perform Beethoven's 'Egmont' overture and Brahms Symphony No. 2.

Our season concludes on 13th June 2026 with a rare opportunity to hear Joseph Haydn’s masterpiece, The Creation, where Sheffield Chamber Orchestra will be joined by Sheffield’s Steel City Choristers and guest conductor John Lyon.
