More well wishes from Richard Howarth

Just before our 75th anniversary concert we were delighted to receive this message from our former Principal Conductor, Richard Howarth.

"I hope your 75th Anniversary concert goes well on Saturday. The concerts for which I was fortunate enough to conduct the orchestra were a delight for me. It was my pleasure to make music with such a lovely bunch of musicians, including my old friend Ralph Dawson. I think my last appearance was pre-Covid by about a week! We performed Brahms’s mighty Bb Piano Concerto with Slava Sidorenko. It was a memorable event indeed. Good luck with this and future concerts."
